    This guy is Aristides de Sousa Mendes

    During world war two he saved the lives of +30000 refugees by giving them passage to allied ground. 

    Such heroes are normally remembered, as Schindler and Nicholas Winston.

    Aristides was not. He lost his job and was blocked from registration, thus prohibited from continuing his law career. He died in poverty. Hardly anyone outside of Portugal knows of him.

    He is my fucking hero.
